Bharti Verma is a visual artist who expresses herself through semi-figurative and abstract works. The artist in her loves to work with oil paints, as their many layers let her hold the various emotions she intends to portray. The core of her work is human emotion in all its diversity — from the profane to the profound — each arriving to find the realm within.

The paintings are also her own journey. She feels an innate sense of freedom while working on canvas, where conscious and subconscious thoughts come through in a visual representation that celebrates the self in all its emotions. The role of nature in her life weaves through most of the work. For Bharti, these paintings are her way of being alive.
