“Feminism isn't about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It's about changing the way the world perceives that strength.” — G. D. Anderson
“Successful women still have their feet on the ground. They just have better shoes.” — Oprah Winfrey
With everything going on in the world and in our society, it matters that we keep empowering and motivating one another. Let us stand together and spread love and kindness. Let us have compassion and understanding — we are all in this together, and we share a bond that cannot be broken.
Women are undoubtedly the backbone of any society. Doting daughters, caring mothers, competent colleagues and a wide range of other roles are played by the women around us flawlessly and with grace.
ArtKriti ran Shoe-Tale on the theme of women's empowerment, inviting images of a favourite pair of women's shoes, and inviting selected artists to paint a shoe for the project. The images and shoes received were converted into an installation for public viewing — one that is interactive and involves the viewer.
