Sonia Sareen studied interior design at the South Delhi Polytechnic for Women. She has also studied pottery, ceramics, stained glass art and its restoration at the New York School of Visual Arts. In New York she apprenticed under the renowned artist Valerie Carmet, learning the intricacies of picassiette. She has trained under the master craftsman Reggie Lim in glass slumping and fusion in Singapore.

Her spiritual journey helped her flow from one medium to another seamlessly. Her mind involuntarily formed images, filling her being with positive energy, and her hands transformed those amorphous thoughts into physical shapes. Sonia's passion is sculpting in varied media — an art in constant evolution with every piece she creates.

Interviews and features on her work have appeared in The Hindu, Hindustan Times, The Statesman, The Telegraph, Indraprastha, Mail Today, Inside Outside, Cosmopolitan, First City, Incredible India, News Connect and Society, among others. She has showcased widely across India in prestigious venues, and her works are held by many private collectors.
